We attended the Dance Caravan Convention in Las Vegas during July 2008 and won a total of nine gold/high gold awards. Our juniors won 1st Overall Grand Champions in their division for "Schoolyard Girls," and our seniors won 3rd Overall Grand Champions in their division for Freakshow." The seniors also won overall Best Costume for the entire competition. We only had fourteen students that attended out of at least one thousand participants. They represented the Dance Gallerie extremely well!
Seven awards total were given on the final day of the workshop and our studio walked away with three... That should say how well they all did in the classroom! These students won scholorships for their efforts and talents within the classroom: Madison Longshore and Synthia Pacheco while Tabitha South was the only senior from the convention to win any award, and it was the prestigious Betty and Danny Hoctor Award.

Jephanie Larson attended the Virginia School of the Arts Summer Intensive program after recital for 3 weeks. She had a great time and was well noted during classes and asked to assist in demonstrations of many skills during her classes.
